    Comments about Stormbreak 2 Tent

I've used this tent for backcountry camping, hunting, using it as my tent while working wildfire in Alberta. I've had my dog in it with my (110lbs). and spent probably 50 nights in it since i bought it a couple of years ago. Nothing has broken on it, its still waterproof, it packs well into my backpacking bag, it was relatively cheap. Really nothing i can complain about. Nice job North Face

    Comments about Stormbreak 2 Tent

I recently switched to the North Face Stormbreak 2 tent from another model, and I'm really impressed. It's durable, easy to set up, and perfect for camping. The 2-person version is spacious enough for two people and all their gear. Overall, a great choice for beginners or anyone looking for a reliable tent!

I got my new tent a couple of days ago. Decided to go out for a night out before a week trip. Took everything out of the bag. Started settling up and go to find out one of the cross poles is missing an end piece. Not the end of the world but still. Disappointing.

The tent, my dog and I have been in snow storms and bad thunderstorms. We remained warm and dry. Quick set up, first in the dark.

    Comments about Stormbreak 2 Tent

Bought the storm break 2 years ago when a local shop was shutting down on sale. And even if I didn't get it on sale I would buy it again in a heart beat. I have probably about 130+ nights in this bad boy and it still runs as flawless as can be. Only thing I have had to do to it is patch some holes that showed up on the bottom on a couple trips where I forgot my foot print and setup location was less than ideal. (Hunting trips in the mountains in BC) probably my favourite thing about this tent, is as the name says, storm break is its ability to stand strong in the wind. I have had this bad boy set up in some less than ideal locations, in less than ideal conditions and when all the lines are out, and the wind is howling, the tent barely wiggles. I've been beside some hunting partners and heard their tent collapse and the wind just sailed on over the north face storm break. Zippers still work as good as the day I purchased it, fly is still nice and water tight. However I will say, when you have the fly sinched down and are spending lots of hours in the tent it does condensate inside the fly, wich is normal for every tent I have ever used, but if you're able to open up the vestibule doors for a couple hours during the day the screen on the tent itself lets a lot of air through to dry it all up before bed again. 10/10 love this tent.

I got the Storm Break 2 mainly for wild camping in the UK; mostly on top of mountains so I wanted something that could withstand those harsh environments. Took it out for a the first time on a summit camp on Blencathra; it performed amazingly. In the group we had two tents (this one and another brand) the other tent had loads of problems with the wind and a guy line break; the Storm Break had no issues at all at -7C with hard winds. Woke up to ice build up on the outside but nearly no condensation inside. One negative is that I felt the pegs provided were not the best and also not enough pegs to use all guy lines?! So be aware you may want to upgrade pegs; although I didn't think this enough to drop a star.

Used this on a 4 night park trip- rained most nights and completely soaked through the bottom even with a layer beneath the tent. Other than that worked great and was super nice to relax in and looked fantastic

Good value. Pros: lightweight, compact, easy set up, good ventilation. Held up well in windstorm. Cons: can't close up during windstorm - dust inside. Fly catches constantly.

Have used the Stormbreak 2 on multiple wild camp hikes since buying and am very impressed with my purchase. Slightly heavier than a lot of other tents in this class but manageable, even on steep climbs. Love the ease in setting up (10 mins)….design has been well thought out has all the features of a more expensive tent in this class. Plenty of room inside for 2 people,I mostly use it as a one man tent and have acres of space, great headroom due to design and 2 doors so you never miss a sunrise or sunset. Awning has plenty space for all the gear you need, doors hitch up without any hassle which is fab. Use your hiking poles to create an awning when raining, have sat under awning in a downpour and not got wet. So far no issues at all with waterproofing (always kept dry even in storm conditions). No issues with condensation. For the price I don't think you can beat the Stormbreak 2,nice one North Face. Only improvement would be to cut down on weight, but as is more than manageable 👌
