Good shoes, very comfortable and waterproof. However the large Goretex logo looks tacky.

I've loved the GT-2000 GTX for years. They are the exact amount of stability I need to support me so I can do all I want to do on my feet! These are the best waterproof medium stability shoe. The only frustrating problem is that the GT-2000 12 model has the word "GORETEX" printed in very large letters on the shoe and looks silly. I wear these shoes all the time and while the wording is embarrassing in a casual setting.

With ASICS, I started with GT-2000 8 then moved to kayano 29 but it corrected my pronation too much so now I'm back to gt-2000 and wow has the shoe gotten even better! I walk with this, go to work with this, and obviously ran with it too. Does not disappoint in anything. Standing all day on this is quite comfortable even though this is on the firmer side, but that's what I prefer. Running is not too propulsive, but you can definitely maintain a great pace in this trainer. I've only been a weekend couple-miles-at-a-time runner recently and it's definitely been comfortable and able to adapt to my pace changes every time. I've only worn this in the cooler season so far, but with thick socks, and I haven't felt uncomfortably warm in my GTX version of v12. So I don't think I'll be sweating my feet off in summer with this and lighter socks. The bright green GORETEX sign on the inside is what I figured might bother me but I just stopped caring…guess you can black it out with a marker. Love the all black with minimal accents colorway. Kinda makes it okay to use it in many casual settings. Plus you're protected against the elements too which is a plus. I was actually contemplating getting another one since good GTX versions don't come out as often. But great shoe nonetheless. 100% recommended.

The shoes fit well but the appearance was a little different than I expected. I did not realize the inside of the shoe had GORETEX literally printed on the shoe… that's on me. There's also a blue tint to the black that is throwing me off but I expect that will grow on me. I really wish they had these in an all black, with the traditional logo on both sides of the shoe. I would also like to see a black and red version as well. I expect the shoe to perform as great as my older GT-2000's
