Ordered 3 bottles. One leaked air from the very beginning. Squeaks loudly when sucking action attempted. Barely able to get any water through mouthpiece. Sadly second bottle ruined once my son attempted to put ocean water inside and after that saltwater was stuck in the chamber. Would appreciate one replacement for item with air leak. Third bottle no issues. Purchased for Mexico trip but barely used.

My daughter loves it and now refuses to drink water from the store, which is awesome.

I decided to try the lifestraw water bottle for daughter because our tap water is absolutely horrible and all the plastic water bottles were driving me nuts. This made the water taste super fresh and clean! I'm so glad I no longer have to worry about my daughter ingesting toxic chemicals.

I purchased these for my grandsons to use on their Cub Scout camping trips. The camp sites often use well water. These bottles should help to filter out contaminants and improve the taste. The size is perfect for these little guys.

I love it. It's the only water they have with this type of filter that filters lead and PFAs as well. I on

Purchased for whitewater kayaking after getting comfortable caring for basic straw, better used as a back up. The Play packs super light, tough, filters additional gunk and is perfect for a quick 8 oz hydration on breaks with a simple river dip rather than bend into the river with the basic straw. Flows just fine. For me no issues any Lifestraw product as long I carefully follow instructions, running water through 2-3 times and blowing on both ends of filter.

I bought 2 of these for my adult daughter and I to use for a European tour summer 2019. We liked the smaller size for our daybags so we didn't have some giant bottle sticking out. We were grateful to be able to fill them at every water fountain, bathroom sink, etc as it was in the upper 90s for several days without concern of the water source. The only drawback in the Play waterbottle is that the top seals so tight that it doesn't let air back into the bottle as you drink. So to get water out, we ended up unscrewing the lid then sip through the mouthpiece as normal. Then drinking was easy otherwise you suck your brains out to get a few drops. It would be really great if Lifestraw made an adult bottle that is the smaller size.

I must sart by saying This product is freakin AMAZING! All around winner! Except why oh why is there not an option for this bottle in 22oz and even 1L?! It solves most of the complaints I've read about the 22oz an 1L bottles because it covers the mouth piece and is leakproof! Which my other bottles absolutely never were leakproof, although that didn't bother me as much as it seems to bother others. PLUS this play bottle has a more advanced filter?! Why limit it to child size?

I bought this bottle in November of 2019, 5 months ago. I've being using it daily -every single day- since beginnings of December. During the first days it is a little difficult to suck the water, however this is not an issue as within a week the water will flow freely. Nevertheless it is important to know that if you are an anxious drinker and prefer drinking large gulps of water, that is definitely NOT possible. My brother didn't like this at all, for me it is not an issue because, although when I am very tired after cardio I do crave for water in large amounts, that is rarely, an exception, and if I keep hydrated everything is fine. I actually love to drink from this bottle while I am reading, taking a break from an asana, I find it very relaxing and like that it has a constant/regular flow -even if some people ridiculize me saying it is like a baby bottle, I actually love the mouth piece better that the LifeStrawGo, I feel it is more hygienic because of the lid and, because the mouthpiece is wider, you can clean it easier-, because sometimes when you are reading something or are more concentrated into something else than drinking water, you may spill the water or just choke (or maybe its just me hehe). Regarding the size, I feel is a good size. My mother and my brother have the LifeStrawGo (650ml -1/3rd of the daily water consumption required by an average person- although it does fit a little more or maybe they are using it wrongly) and I personally find it kind of heavy when it is full. And usually, it my daily life, don't stay that much time without a source of water nearby to justify the weight. I think it will be great for long hikes when you don't know when you will find the next source of water, but for shorts ones or ones you know there will be water available on the way I don't see the benefit. The size of the play is ok (295ml), but there are two considerations: 1) a small space on the top is wasted because you can only pour water through the opening under the filter and 2) there is also some water that always remains with out being able to drink because the filter-straw doesn't reach to the very bottom -although I do acknowledge that the people behind LifeStraw were thoughtfully and made the base a little hollow, I suppose, so that straw would reach further-. At this moment I don't have a way to measure the exact quantity of ml that it actually is able to carry AND drink, but I do sometimes feel that it is a little small, not too small, but just a little small (after all I am not a kid and I understand this is made thinking on the hydration needs of a kid, but I do feel that this is the bottle which covers my needs the best giving the options on LifeStraw). In my limited knowledge of the business, I would consider upgrading the Play edition, maybe a little taller or sizing it altogether a little so it will fit around 340ml (1/6th of the adult water requirement), or make a new edition altogether in between the go and the play that is about 450-500ml with out risking one of the main features for me that is the possibility to put it under any tap. No matter were I went, but if there was tap water everything was ok (the Go doesn't fit in all the sinks, while with the play it has never been an issue). I really can assure you that the people behind this put a lot of thought not only in the design but in the materials (although my bottle is widely scratched, the bottle is sturdy and easy to clean, the concave part at the moment denotes the degree of detail, and also the cap which has a unfixed handle to carry around so when you screw and unscrew the cap its easy). Now we've reached to the BIG BUT. Although the handle of Play is easy to carry and very comfortable to carry it on your hands or just on the straps of your bag or things like that (unlike the Go which is big and heavy and I don't find it comfortable to grab it from the keychain or to put it in very thin straps) I believe there is a design flaw. The handle has a little depth which might make it more flexible but, in particular, the part which is connected to the cap make it a point which is particularly vulnerable because of the stress and pressure in daily use. I would suggest to avoid that depth, which I suppose they made to be able to take off the plastic lid but you can also just make a whole in the lid to do that, and maybe use a more flexible material. At the beginning I thought the material was in perfect balance between flexible and sturdy but after the handle BROKE, I don't know. Another solution might be to put a more flexible material around that point. It is a shame, although I still use it (fortunately the handle is removable) it is definitely not the same (although I now realize it has some texture at the top of the bottle and cap to give it grip while carrying it with your hands, and just when lifting it when drinking) and the worst of all is that it didn't last enough to be able to rotate all the designs for the cap hahaha! Regarding the filter, I really have not test it with the worst water possible, I regularly use tap water (but while traveling in India, so I'll say it works) and also I tested just twice with other types of water, from a pond and a river, and it went very well. It had some characteristic flavor, but not bad at all. I bought the Play also because when I bought it, the Go didn't filtered lead. **** This page needs non binary gender options.

This has been a must for both our hiking and camping bags. We love that we have something so small and lightweight that can be used for such a huge purpose. Clean drinking water is a must. This makes it possible. This saves so much time and space lugging gallons of water with us. It's simple to use and provides us with plenty of clean water.
