Splitting the Biru was a no-brainer after our first powder ride as it was a blast even in really deep stuff. The big shovel nose lifts up and the short tail sinks. It really performs insanely well outside the groomers. The full camber creates massive amounts of pop and makes it a breeze on the skintrack with contact points moved out to the max. This is a type of board we truly were missing in our line of splits. As it’s a volume shifted shape with a wide waist, riders should size down 4-5 centimeters.
OUTLINE
The Biru split features a long powder nose and small fish tail. Full camber with a radically turned up tail kick for easy switch landings. There’s 3 Power Bumps™ added along the edge for extra grip.
BOTTOM SHAPE
The Biru split has a full 6 mm camber with a slight early rise in the nose for ease of turn in.
CORE
At Stranda Snowboards we use ash wood and mix it with lighter types of timber as poplar and paulownia. Ash is perfect for building high-performance snowboards as it dampens vibrations and holds its camber, extending the life of your board. Adding poplar and paulownia keeps the weight down. Choosing a premium material also allowed us to reduce the use of petroleum-based composites.
