I like the concept behind this bag, as it allows me to pack everything I need for a day of work and going to the gym without facing any space constraints or even for a short trip. It's also the perfect size to bring as a carry-on bag - I've never had any problems with any of European low-cost airlines. However, the quality of materials is subpar. I've seen scratches on the bag after only a few weeks of using it and after having the bag for a year, the buckle clips of the straps have already broken twice. The first time they have been replaced under North Face's warranty, but that meant the bag was off to their repair shop for 3-4 weeks. Now the same piece broke a second time, but I'm not going to send it away for another month again. So if you're looking for a bag that lasts, I wouldn't go for this but get one that has the straps stitched deeply into the bag rather than attached via buckle clips.

Measurments off from volume! Please add / change location for straps, make removable like Patagonia. Add carry straps holder n compression straps like Thule!

I actually have two of these and they are fantastic bags. 5 star. I do have one little gripe (not with the bag, but the packaging) You guys wrap all of the zippers in tape and paper, I'm assuming to protect them from getting scratched. Do you know when it will absolutely get scratched? When I'm trying to cut the tape off. Let them be free! Anyway, I love this design. Could be a duffle, could be a backpack, nice separations for travel. Great personal bag for an airplane. It looks slick. More comfortable of a backpack than the basecamp duffle for sure. Home run, don't hesitate to buy!

This is my go bag for overnights as an FIRE/EMT. It fits everything I need for 24hr shift. I love the compartment separators and shoes pocket. Game changer, that keeps me organized and ready for anything. I like the outer shell material wipeable and easy to clean. The backpack straps are super helpful they keep my hands free to bring in my lunchbox and other items needed for base. Thanks North Face for having first responder discount!

I was very excited to receive this bag. It was a replacement for a long standing North Face bag that was finally dying after 15 years hard labour. This bag is made from high quality material. It has a flip out divider in the main compartment which is handy to separate clothes from shoes or toiletries. The divider can be placed in several locations, so you're not limited with just a central dividing option. The bag is a good shape and easy to pack. The bag also has several pockets for smaller quick access and one is large enough for trainers at the bottom of the bag. It also has a bottle pocket - take caution here. If your bag is rammed this prevents you getting a regular sports bootle into the pocket. It assumes some of the space for the bottle comes from the bag space. Like others have mentioned it does have a laptop sleeve, but because the bag is packaway it is not reinforced, so you'll need a hard sleeve around you're precious kit. I really like this bag and it is almost perfect. 2 things which it doesn't have and I really miss are: 1. No compression straps - this would really help if you plan to try to lose 5cm to squeeze into an underseat option. 2. No trolley sleeve - so you will be stuck with this in your back.

Obsessed with this bag! Stylish, practical, and roomy. I have flown with it a bunch and it fits under the seat as my 'personal item' - though I am a small person so don't mind losing some leg room.
