I really love these covered tips because of the traction they offer when crossing over streams, boulders or rocks. The grip they have gives me confidence to make a move confidently in the direction I'm heading. The only caveat is their durability because that wonderful covering wears out fairly quickly if you're hiking over a lot of rock.
