The Drone was designed because we wanted a binding that allows the rider to feel the mountain. The drone is built with the sole purpose of providing all mountain performance in it's simplest form. The A-Series aluminum chassis offers maximum adjustment for perfect heel/toe centering on your board.
The all-new 2 piece asymmetrical ankle strap provides more flex to your medial side allowing for ultimate mobility and board feel. (Something you don’t get from a “ski boot” style snowboard binding) The frame of the ankle strap is built from a urethane material for structure, and cushioned with a softer material that’s engineered to expand as the strap is tightened, meaning no pressure points on your forefoot.
The all new 3D shaped asymmetrical highback is a medium flexing, ultra lightweight, high performance highback made with the entire mountain in mind. The asymmetry allows for maximum medial flex and lateral control. The minimalist toe strap fits all desired boot positions without adding any weight. The Drone is the pinnacle of all mountain performance.
A-SERIES ALUMINUM CHASSIS
The A-Series Chassis provides the reactive flex and power transfer of aluminum underfoot. The extruded aluminum heel-cup provides ultimate toe heel response. The A-Series Chassis was designed to be less rigid that previous designs allowing the aluminum to flex more under the rider’s weight allowing for a much more reactive ride. Because the Chassis is 100% aluminum, it is narrower than nylon or plastic chassis allowing the board to flex more freely from tip to tail.
NYLON HIGHBACK
Traditional Highback material that offers a predictable mix of response and comfort.
TWO-PIECE ANKLE STRAP
Designed to provide comfort and response. The two piece strap utilizes two different types of plastic, one more rigid strap to provide the necessary response and another urethane piece that assures the strap is comfortable and stays in place over your boot. There is no additional padding to bunch up and create hotspots on your boot.
MINIMALIST CORE TOE STRAP
Look at this thing, so core. Oh wait? Is that what we mean? Like it's part of the "core community"? Or because it's got no core, hollowed out. Either way, it's a great toe strap. You're going to love it
LINKAGE RATCHETS
Designed to improve ladder durability and eliminate ratchet wag, resulting in a smoother user experience with the same hold you expect.
CANTED FOOTBEDS
An ultra-light footbed that uses subtle angles to align the ankles and knees to a more natural and comfortable position. The angle also gives leverage to press the board for huge pop, without affecting your preferred stance width.
A-SERIES TPU BASEPAD
A urethane base pad that sits under the binding and wraps up the side. The urethane provides ultimate damping properties underfoot, and support as it wraps up the side of the binding increasing response as the riders drives their weight into turns.
PLASTIC MOUNTING DISC
The plastic disc offers more lateral flex than aluminum for the rider that is focused on comfort and flex over hard charging performance.
FULLY ADJUSTABLE CHASSIS
In simple terms, this binding is adjustable, giving you the ability to get the perfect fit between your binding and boots.
TOOL-LESS TOE STRAP AND ANKLE STRAP
This one is a little different than tool-less adjustments. If you need to remove your straps, just rotate them all the way around lefty loosey. No screwdriver, just full strap rotation. Need to put them back on? Simple, do the opposite. Righty tightey.
