I use this base layer for skiing. The 3/4 length is perfect for ski boots, no bunching in the boots. They are very comfortable and warm. I do wish they were a little thicker though.

Like other reviews have said, these are too short to be used for snow sports. They are barely long enough to tuck into ski socks and do not stay put. For reference, I am 5'5", 120 pounds, and these leggings came to just below my knees. They would need to be mid-calf length to function as a ski/snowboard base layer.

I love these pants to wear under jeans or joggers during the colder months I hike. Also they are great for travel as I use them as "tights" with skirts & am able to stay worm yet be a bit dressy. As I am only 5'2" I like this shorter length. Not a cheap purchase but they do last; I just replaced a pair of the longer verison I had for about 10 years that I wore until they fell apart.
