I bought these to use in wet, muddy Norway and purchased them in October 2024. So far they haven't held up well at all in everyday activities and hikes/runs ranging from 10-30km. The pros include that they are a good looking trail running shoe, they are great for my wide feet, and are comfortable for even longer hikes 30km+ (no blisters or overly-achy feet). However, the cons are overwhelming - a hole has already appeared in the upper, the treads are worn (much lower than I'd have expected for a few months of regular use), traction is extremely bad on wet rock/ice, the laces loosen constantly, and feet do get rather hot and sweaty. Really disappointed, will likely not be coming back to North Face again when it comes to trail running shoes. I previously wore Altra Lone Peaks, and running those into the ground took at least a year and a half. Really expected more out of these shoes. (I also mistakenly wrote this review on the Offtrail TR shoes, but I did actually buy the ones with Gore-Tex in the hopes that it would offer better protection against the elements - it seems to have not)

I use these shoes for trail running in winter with my snowshoes and sometimes without. They work great, fit is good and great traction. My feet stay warm and dry.

Same as one of the other reviews please avoid! Wanted a trail tow we for walking the dog across fields so less that what they are intended for! Tread has worn away on the sole so god forbid if you was actually running in them! Not waterproof at all, slight splash over the tongue and that's it soggy sock, bad times 😢! Would go for another trial trainer like inov8!

I love the strong durable traction on these shoes. I use them daily while walking to work in Vermont winters. As I purchased the non bright colors, I were these while dressing up with a sports jacket, tie, and dress pants and they blend in.(It's VT so I can be more casual) The waterproofing keeps my feet dry and warm even on subzero mornings. Also, they have been comfortable during my trail runs too.

These shoes are made very well. The sole is very soft and comfortable. I only have a couple miles on them but they are breaking in good. I use them for work and hiking. The grip is super in the rough stuff.

Comments about Men's Offtrail TR GORE-TEX® Trail Running Shoes
Wear them mainly for walking dog, muddy country paths. To be honest they're rubbish though to use as hiking shoe up hills. But as comfy as a trainer. Waterproof still after 6 months. Still have a nice springy feel to them too after that time, usually that goes after a few months I find. Tread is wearing now but I get that with every show like this from all manufacturers. Going to buy a second pair for when these die. Comfiest shoes I've had in years. Just wish they had more colours.
